the cost of fired bricks production in Morocco is affected by the localization of clays quarry while the production of aggregates generates huge quantities of sludge rich on clays minerals which favor their use as a raw material in bricks production. this studies aim to promote the use of these wastes as raw materials and reduce the landfill space used by aggregates manufacturing. The mineralogical and the geotechnical characterization represent the first step to evaluate their use in building materials production than their incorporation with a different percentage to find out the optimal formulation to be used in bricks manufacturing in Morocco. As a result, the incorporation of sludge enhances the mechanical behavior of the bricks produced.
